The working life of Jenny Taborda

From local fashion shoots in Antioquia to a subscription page with a six-figure follower base: the working logic behind a self-made Colombian brand.

A portfolio before a persona

Taborda did not arrive online with a character. She arrived with a portfolio. The early modelling work was ordinary: local designers, swimwear, a photographer building a book. What she took from it was a sense of how she wanted to be seen, which is a different skill from knowing how to pose.

By 2018 she was posting regularly and treating her social accounts as a shopfront. The audience grew slowly, through collaboration and consistency rather than a single viral moment. That slow build gave her something a sudden audience does not: a clear idea of what her followers expected and what she was willing to give them.

The photo-first subscription

When she opened her paid page, she did not try to imitate a studio. She sold sets: a location, an outfit, a mood, twenty or thirty images and a short clip. The format was cheap to produce, easy to schedule and unmistakably hers.

The free page widened the top of the funnel, and the low subscription price kept the barrier to entry low. It is a volume business rather than a luxury one, and it depends on steady output. Taborda has maintained that output for years, which is harder than it looks and is the real foundation of the brand.

The live room

Camming added a second income stream and a different relationship with fans. In a live room the performance is reciprocal: tips, requests, jokes, silence. Taborda performs with a partner, which gives the show a domestic texture and a ready-made dynamic that solo rooms often lack.

Her bilingual chat is a practical advantage. She can hold a Colombian audience and an international one in the same session, and she does not have to choose which to address. The room is small compared with her follower count, but it is loyal, and loyalty is what pays.

The author's second track

The books are not an exit strategy. They are an extension of the same interest in self-presentation, packaged for an audience that may never subscribe to the adult page. Motivational writing allows her to speak in a register that brands and event organisers can use.

Whether that track grows depends on how seriously she pursues it. For now it functions as a hedge and a signal: the adult work is one part of a larger public identity, not the whole of it. That is an unusually clear-eyed position for a creator in a market that tends to reward a single, fixed persona.
